Due to his effort against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin of the Detroit Lions was selected the NFC special teams player of the week.
Reeves-Maybin received an 87.3 rating from Pro Football Focus after totaling four special teams tackles.
From 2013 until 2016, Reeves-Maybin was a great linebacker for Tennessee. He was a junior in 2015 and made the All-SEC second team.
In the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft, the Lions selected the former Vol. Prior to playing for the Houston Texans in 2022, Reeves-Maybin played in Detroit for the first five years of his NFL career. After agreeing to a one-year contract, he returned to Detroit at the end of the 2023 campaign.
