Sami Zayn hasn’t been spotted wrestling since Money in the Bank, but on Tuesday, the WWE star made a significant advancement in the direction of a potential comeback.

Around the time Zayn faced Bobby Lashley at Money in the Bank, it was found that he was recovering from injuries to both of his rotator cuffs. He had surgery on one of them on June 21st, and on Tuesday, he underwent another procedure.

Sami Zayn was trying to run rough shot over WWE with his “best friend,” Kevin Owens, prior to his injury. Kevin Owens is currently working to accomplish that since he has the chance to position himself to win the Universal Championship once more. read up on Owens’ methods for doing so.

Well, I’m in Birmingham, Alabama, right now. My right shoulder, sometimes known as my good shoulder, recently had surgery. I’m going to be away from that for a little while. Since I’ve been dealing with this injury for a while, I suppose not many people are aware of it. I’m not sure when I tore it exactly. I believe I hurt it, or tore it, at a live event in Montreal.

Which is odd since during my [Raw] debut versus John Cena in Montreal, I suffered a now-famous injury to my left shoulder. And I believe I hurt it when I wrestled Jinder Mahal at a live event in August of last year. However, my left shoulder, sometimes known as my bad shoulder, began to relapse as well.

I had kind of grown used to the fact that that shoulder was the poor one because it hasn’t entirely recovered after surgery. But over time, things became worse and worse, and long story short, I ended up with two torn rotator cuffs. Both the right and the left are ripped. I recently had surgery on my right, and in roughly six or seven weeks, I will have surgery on my left, with the goal of recovering well and returning to my happy place.
