The Ohio State Buckeyes’ running back Chip Trayanum registered on the transfer site on Wednesday and is preparing for a few visits.

This weekend, Trayanum is expected to visit the Kentucky Wildcats, per reports from 247 Sports. Next season, Trayanum might participate in the SEC’s revised competition.

Trayanum participated in only a small portion of his first season in Columbus following his transfer from Arizona State to Ohio State in 2022. Despite his injury struggles this season, Trayanum performed more than anticipated, accumulating 373 yards and three touchdowns on 85 attempts. He had nine catches for 53 yards as well.

But he’s already registered for the 2023 NFL Draft, so it’s still unclear if he’ll participate in Kentucky’s bowl match. The departure of Davis means that the Wildcats may have an opening at running back in 2024, a position that Trayanum would undoubtedly want to fill as he approaches his fifth collegiate season the following year still seeking his first career 1,000-yard performance.

Kentucky had a 7-5 regular season that culminated in a thrilling 38-31 victory over Louisville, ranked No. 10. On Friday, December 29, the Wildcats will take on the No. 22 (CFP) Clemson Tigers in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.

On Friday, December 29 in Arlington, Texas, the No. 7 Ohio State team will play the No. 9 Missouri Tigers in the Cotton Bowl.
