Mark Smith, a former defender for Sheffield Wednesday, believes that during their 1-1 draw with Leicester City on Wednesday, the Owls looked like a very ordinary team.
After 18 games this season, the Owls have only one victory and four draws, and they remain at the bottom of the Championship standings.
At Hillsborough on Wednesday, Danny Rohl’s team hosted table-topping Leicester and prevented them from taking all three points.
Smith emphasized that aside from the goal they scored, the Foxes were not very effective, so Cameron Dawson, the Owls’ goalkeeper, did not have much work to do.
The former Owls player thinks that at Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday gave Enzo Maresca’s team a very generic appearance.
Smith stated on the Owls Heaven podcast, “I think it will be quite lively, bubbly, that kind of thing” in the changing room.
When the Owls play Blackburn Rovers this Saturday, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain the positive energy from their draw with Leicester.
