The Michigan Wolverines will play the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2024, with hopes of winning the national championship.

JJ McCarthy, the quarterback for the Michigan football team, has been sidelined since suffering an injury against Penn State last month. Nevertheless, McCarthy provided an update this afternoon prior to his New Year’s Day matchup with Alabama.

With a six-game bowl losing record and a two-game CFP losing streak going into the Rose Bowl, Michigan football is in bad shape. Michigan, which is ranked No. 1 nationally coming into the game, will face a difficult battle in the first round when they play Alabama, which is probably the best team in the playoffs this fall under Nick Saban.

Fans and observers have been worried about Michigan football quarterback JJ McCarthy’s injury status for a while. Although he appeared to be fine against Ohio State, something felt amiss once more in the Big Ten championship game against Iowa.

Having said that, JJ McCarthy provided a status report this afternoon, and it appears that he is doing well.

“I feel incredible,” he uttered. “After that brief week off, I feel absolutely revived, and I can’t wait to play football again tomorrow. The team’s current mindset is centered around simply wanting to go out there and play ball and improve.
