Mark Canha Files Divorce Against Wife To Dissolve 6 Years Marriage On Grounds That In order for Matt Manning to be able to return to the Tigers rotation, the Mud Hens had to make some last-minute preparations for their game on Saturday.

On Friday, the Hens had a few chances to win, but the Saints made the clutch pitches when they were needed. Bryan Sammons, a lefty, kept up his strong performance overall for the Mud Hens, but all it took for this one was a major error.

In the first two innings, the Hens advanced a runner to second base with fewer than two outs but were unable to score. Parker Meadows reached on a bunt single in the bottom of the fifth inning, and Saints starter Randy Dobnak’s throwing error allowed Meadows to go to second. After Gio Urshela hit a ground ball single into right field, Meadows was out at bat by Matt Wallner.

Sammons would continue to dominate until the fourth inning, when he gave up a leadoff single. After a shallow fly out and a strikeout for Sammons, Yunior Severino reached base on a swinging bunt single and sent a towering fly ball to left for a three-run blast. Sammons rebounded well, pitching five and a half innings while striking out nine batters, but it was just part of the deal.

In the seventh, Riley Unroe was walked with one out for the Hens. Still swinging a really hot bat, Andrew Navigato swung a double that went for a ground rule double, which fortunately kept Unroe from scoring. Justice Bigbie struck out to strand them after Meadows struck out and Keston Hiura walked. Ryan Jensen, a reliever for the Saints, simply outhit them both with a hardball in the mid-1990s.

To start the bottom of the ninth, Dillon Dingler crushed a line drive to the wall in center field for a double. Navigato hit a ground ball that resulted in a mistake by the Saints’ third baseman, but Unroe struck out. Navigato advanced to second base after Dingler’s touchdown. Hiura flew out to end it after Meadows grounded out.
