The Pittsburgh Steelers are going through an experience that appears to be both unique and excruciating. Despite a promising 2023 Week 12 victory after Matt Canada’s dismissal, the team’s progress has abruptly stopped, and the wheels have come off.

Any NFL team would find it unacceptable to lose back-to-back games to teams with two wins at this point in the season, but for the Steelers, the disappointment is so great that there are really no other emotions to express it than annoyance and frustration. According to Mark Kaboly, the Steelers’ locker room is harboring a much deeper problem that is the cause of these losses.

The New England Patriots, who had two wins going into Week 14, were waiting for the Steelers, who had suffered a setback against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. Ultimately, that bright spot proved to be a sign of impending disaster as the Steelers emerged from that Week 14 match with a defeat that severely damaged their chances of making the playoffs.

Kaboly discussed how low the 2023 Steelers have sunk after their 21-18 loss to the Patriots on The PM Team with Poni & Mueller on 93.7 The Fan Friday. Although the losses are undoubtedly alarming, Kaboly is more concerned about the cause of the fall from grace.
