One of the best running backs on the transfer portal revealed on Monday morning that he is choosing between four different schools.
After revealing his top three, Anderson changed it to his top four and included Cal.
After attending Division II Newberry College for four years, Anderson transferred to South Carolina and played in Columbia during the 2023 season. In his one and only season with the Gamecocks, Anderson caught 22 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in addition to running for 707 yards and three touchdowns.
Before moving up to Division I, Anderson was a former Division II All-American. The Summerville, South Carolina, product first announced his intentions to use the portal on December 6. He formally entered on December 8 and received inquiries from a few schools shortly after.
Marcus Major, Daylan Smothers, and Tawee Walker have all entered the transfer portal, and DeMarco Murray and company are trying to replenish some of the depth they have lost. Gavin Sawchuk was the team’s standout back in the closing stages, but the Sooners are giving up 846 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground as a whole to the portal.
