J.B. Brown Officially Becomes Special Teams Coordinator

The Michigan Wolverines have selected their new special teams coordinator, after head coach Sherrone Moore conducted another internal search for a suitable candidate.

Let’s introduce J.B. Brown, who joined Michigan’s coaching staff in 2021 after serving as a special teams analyst there. Brown has been a head coach since 2015, having previously held positions at Texas Southern, Kansas, and Houston.

“I am appreciative of Coach Moore and thrilled about this opportunity,” Brown remarked. “I know how we want to run our special teams groups, and I will make sure we are an aggressive bunch capable of producing plays that set up our offence and defence for success. I’ve been in meetings and at practice for the last three seasons. I am forward to begin working with our players more closely and to get started on an amazing set of spring practices.

Moore remarked, “Coach Brown knows how we want to attack that phase of the game and has an outstanding mind for special teams.” He has played a significant role in our special teams’ accomplishments, and he will support us in maintaining our position as leaders in this crucial area of the game. I’m happy to have J.B. his spouse Jessica, their family, and the Michigan Football programme are all based in Ann Arbour.
