The Joy of Road Trips with Brad Marchand, Brad, and Katrina

Brad Marchand Welcomes Yet Another Child from his lovely wife and Marchand scored his tenth point and seventh assist of the postseason. He has at least 10 points in a postseason for the ninth time in his career.

Brad Marchand rarely gets the chance to demonstrate his jumping prowess, but on Wednesday night he accomplished just that.

Marchand, the captain of the Boston Bruins, leaped over Panthers defenseman Niko Mikkola to set up Charlie Coyle’s goal with 7:48 remaining in the first period, giving Boston a 1-0 lead over Florida in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series. Marchand’s hit had caused a turnover in the Panthers zone.

Naturally, Boston wants to exact revenge on Florida after losing to the Panthers in the first round of the playoffs last year, blowing a 3-1 series lead. That followed the Bruins’ 2022–2023 regular season record of 65 wins and 135 points, which set an NHL record.
