Walter Nolen, a defensive tackle for Texas A&M, was previously leaning toward signing with the Tennessee Volunteers. However, the Knoxville native made the decision to travel to College Station and enroll in the top recruiting class in history.

Many of those players—including Nolen—entered the transfer portal a few years later. According to 247Sports, he is presently the top player in the transfer portal. Early rumors regarding possible locations have been circulating, and the Vols were included in the conversation given their relationship and shared past.

As schools that are considering Nolen were revealed by 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong on Wednesday afternoon, those rumors were confirmed.

Having stated that, Nolen has further choices. Before Walter Nolen signed with the Aggies in the class of 2022, he was strongly recruited by both Tennessee and Michigan. [Steve] Wiltfong claims that those two programs—and Tennessee in particular—are being reexamined.

Wiltfong also mentioned that Nolen and his family will be visiting a number of other elite programs, including some SEC schools. Georgia, LSU, Oregon, and Texas are a few possible landing sites, according to Wiltfong.” – On3 reporting on possible destinations for Walter Nolen
