On Sunday night, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and recorded their biggest victory of the year. The Packers’ 27-19 victory moved them back to.500 for the year, and if the season ended today, they would have qualified for the postseason. Star wide receiver Christian Watson of the Packers was sidelined by yet another hamstring injury in the closing seconds of their victory on Sunday. The next three weeks will tell how long Watson will be out, but today the team received some excellent news.
The Packers have a pretty good schedule over the next five games. The teams in it are the Chicago Bears (4-8), Minnesota Vikings (6-6), Carolina Panthers (1-11), New York Giants (4-8), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7). While it is true that no NFL game is certain, Watson’s absence might not be too much of an issue for the Packers.
A little over three minutes remained in the match when Love threw Watson an end-around. Watson then took the ball to the Chiefs’ 34-yard line after turning the corner and gaining 10 yards. But before he could make touch with anyone dressed in white, Watson staggered and fell. His leg would have to be grabbed in order to be helped off the field.
Watson had given a terrific performance before the play. His two scores and seven receptions for 71 yards solidified his place as the team’s leading receiver, and he and Love became closer.
On Thanksgiving Day, Watson caught five passes for 94 yards and a score against the Detroit Lions.Watson had a difficult start to the season, missing the first three weeks and finding it difficult to settle into a routine once he was back. In Watson’s early career, hamstrings have been a persistent problem.
