With a victory in Week 18, the Kansas City Chiefs concluded the regular season with an 11-6 record. Unfortunately, though, as a number of players sustained injuries on Sunday, they lost to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid acknowledged numerous injuries to the media after the game. Here is the complete list of Kansas City’s major injuries, except right tackle Jawaan Taylor, defensive back Chamarri Conner, and safety Deon Bush (all of whom were left off the list). The star of it is a rookie left tackle:

LT WR Justyn Ross: hamstring; Wanya Morris: head injury; in concussion protocol
CB Jaylen Watson: short horn

Morris, who started for the fifth time on Sunday, was forced to sit out the game and was initially only being evaluated for a head injury. But soon after, the team demoted him to out due to a concussion, which put an early stop to his regular season. Reid verified the injury, thus it will be difficult for the Chiefs’ third-round selection to be ready for the postseason. It’s not always the case, even though running back Isiah Pacheco was able to successfully complete the NFL’s concussion protocol in less than a week. Because every player and circumstance is unique, Kansas City finds itself unexpectedly in peril at left tackle.Morris has some doubt if he doesn’t finish all the return-to-play measures in the upcoming days. This season, veteran Donovan Smith was the team’s initial starter, but he has missed more than a month due to a neck injury. On Wednesday, he made a full recovery to practise; however, he did not participate on Thursday or Friday and was eventually disqualified from the competition in Week 18. This week, it will be important to keep a close eye on the health of the Chiefs’ left tackles.Ross made two receptions on four targets in another area before being seen hobbling off the pitch. The team quickly demoted the second-year player from questionable to out. Reid did not provide information on Watson’s calf problem or the extent of his hamstring injury. While neither appears to be a chronic illness at this time, further details may become available this week as the Chiefs get ready for the playoffs’ Wild Card round.
