Jalen Brunson’s hot streak has propelled New York back amongst the top contenders.
New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson won’t be earning any MVP awards quite like he did last season. The team is much too talented around him for that to be a thing.
What Brunson has done over the course of the team’s five-game winning streak, though, shows how valuable he is to New York.
Especially in games like Wednesday night’s 122-112 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Brunson tallied 30 points on 10-16 shooting during the victory against one of the best teams in the Western Conference. He added an impressive 15 assists in the win as well.
“He was just special. Cap’ is special,” Karl-Anthony Towns said. “Everyone knows. We needed him to score tonight, we needed him to do what he does best. And he did that. That’s why he’s special.
“Whenever his name is called in the biggest moment, he’s ready.”
