YES! Tennessee signed “JC Latham” with a caveat from “Alabama.”

Bill Young recognises the potential of JC Latham.

Young predicted that he will be “something special.” He adores the exercise facility. He recently turned sixteen and is becoming faster and stronger. He’s only a young dog.

If Latham, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound sophomore defensive end who has already had many offers from Big Ten colleges, is still a puppy right now, imagine what he will look like in a few years when he on the field.

Even though Latham just played a few varsity games as a freshman, he is already regarded as one of the best prospects in his class nationwide. It wouldn’t be surprising if he became a five-star recruit.

Because of this, three years before he graduates, universities including Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are vying for his enrolment.

“I was really just thinking about how I could improve in high school and how my team could improve, and then all of a sudden things started picking up steam with colleges,” Latham said.

After just a few moments of observation, Latham has an abundance of potential—Young’s least favourite word.

Young declared, “Potential is the worst thing in the world.” “Having potential has no bearing on anything. Do you feel better each day? That’s what we are trying to find.

Latham remarked, “My coach told me to start doing 10 pushups every night and add onto that.” “I eventually came to the realisation that I would need to bulk up if I wanted to get better, so I increased the amount of work I did.”

Latham had gained weight and muscle over the previous few years and weighed about 220 pounds when he started his freshman year. He weighed 240 pounds at the end of the school year and gained an additional 30 pounds over summer.

One of Young’s favourite things is hidden behind the scenes: commitment.

“I think the measure of a guy’s quality is the amount of progress he makes annually,” Young stated. He’s off to a wonderful start with him due of his growth from the previous year. He works just as hard as any of our employees.”
