Since his unexpected comeback to WWE at WrestleMania went awry, Shane McMahon has vanished from the professional wrestling scene. Shortly after McMahon injured his quad trying a typical dropdown manoeuvre in an unplanned match with The Miz, he was unable to continue and Snoop Dogg was forced to step in suddenly.
Since then, the McMahon family’s position in the professional wrestling business has drastically altered: for the first time in history, both his father Vince McMahon and his sister Stephanie McMahon are no longer employed by WWE, ending the McMahon family’s decades-long dominance of the business.
Since Paul “Triple H” Levesque is now firmly in charge of WWE’s on-screen content, it doesn’t seem probable that Shane will return anytime soon. As a result, some fans have begun to wonder if the 54-year-old will unexpectedly join Tony Khan’s rival organization, AEW. Even while the concept might appear absurd, a well-known AEW member thinks it might actually work!
The notion of Shane joining AEW was discussed by AEW commentator Jim Ross on the most recent episode of Grilling JR. Ross acknowledged that although it may seem unlikely, it could work, and that Shane alone is ultimately responsible for making it happen.
