Welcome Back! DJ LeMahieu Made A Very Surprised Return After Suffering From A Severe Injury

Yankees Magazine: DJ LeMahieu

DJ LeMahieu Made A Very Surprised Return After Suffering From A Severe Injury The Yankees’ offense has been clicking lately, but while the team has been waiting for DJ LeMahieu to return, third base has been a bit of a weakness the past month.

DJ is finally expected to return off the injured list and take over as the starting third baseman after missing the first two months of the season. DJ can extend an already outstanding lineup through the nine position if he can contribute average hitting and strong defense.

Juan Soto has entered the equation for AL MVP because of his performance and presence in the Bronx. It’s progressing as well as it possible could. That hasn’t been the case from the Padres’ end. Michael King’s performance has been mediocre at best.

The other parties involved in the arrangement, excluding King, have not delivered. Although the Padres were probably hoping for more from Randy Vázquez and Jhony Brito, Drew Thorpe played a significant role in getting the team Dylan Cease. Though it’s early and those players still retain power over the team for several years, as of right now, it appears that there won’t be any regrets.

The Yankee lineup has performed admirably. They have been on a historic run of 14 straight games with two runs allowed in at least five innings, as Miller pointed out.

Their team era is 2.72, and they have provided much-needed rest to a weak bullpen. There will inevitably be questions because Gerrit Cole could be around soon. As Nestor Cortes takes the mound later today in an attempt to prolong the historic stretch, they will continue to celebrate their amazing triumph for the time being.
