Darrius Clemons, a wide receiver for Michigan, has accessed the Transfer Portal, 247Sports discovered on Wednesday.
Clemons, a former four-star prospect in the class of 2022, has played in 20 games for the Wolverines in his two years as a member. He earned reps in nine games this autumn and has three receptions for 33 yards.
Even if players can leave the Transfer Portal and continue with their programmes, Michigan will have serious receiver questions going into 2024 as a result of Clemons’ rumoured departure. The two most productive receivers for the Wolverines, Cornelius Johnson and perhaps Roman Wilson, will also be gone. More appropriate for the slot are Semaj Morgan and Tyler Morris, who finished third and fourth on the team in receiving yards and are expected to return in the fall.
Before the 2023 campaign, Michigan wide receiver coach Ron Bellamy shared his observations of Clemons during practice throughout the summer:

Though it wasn’t always simple, I am confident that he always had my best interests in mind.

With their first national championship since 1997, Michigan completed a remarkable run that officially concluded with the 2023 season.
In light of this, the off-season has begun, and the roster building process for the upcoming season has already started in Ann Arbour. In addition to bringing in a strong 27-man recruiting class, the Wolverines are also searching the transfer site for players.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound player had a highly fruitful career at Northwestern, where he played left guard for the Wildcats for about 1,800 snaps with 28 starts.
