TRADE ALERT: Las Vegas Raiders Pieces are finalizing, a trade to acquire Pittsburgh Steelers key player “Cameron Heyward ” worth over….

Antonio Pierce’s staff in Las Vegas is expected to include a well-known former NFL head coach.

Marvin Lewis, the longtime head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, is anticipated to join the Raiders, as reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The exact nature of Lewis’ possible involvement is still unknown.

Former #Bengals coach Marvin Lewis is anticipated to be among Antonio Pierce’s appointments in Las Vegas.

Pierce, having received coaching from Lewis while working as an interim, enlisted his assistance. Lewis is now anticipated to work for the company in a more official position.

The fact that Lewis joined Pierce’s staff is not shocking. He was one of several previous coaches whom Pierce looked to for counsel and direction after accepting an interim position with the Raiders. Pierce played for the Washington Huskies in 2002, where Lewis was an assistant coach. The two also collaborated at Arizona State under Herm Edwards.

Despite never winning a game in the postseason, Lewis coached the Bengals for 16 seasons and guided them to seven postseason berths. After being released by the Bengals at the end of the 2018 season, he has not coached at the NFL level, although he has been keen to return to high-level coaching.

The hiring of Antonio Pierce as head coach was the biggest offseason decision made by the Las Vegas Raiders, and one of his first key decisions as coach will be what to do at quarterback. Aidan O’Connell didn’t perform well enough to be trusted as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season, and Jimmy Garoppolo will probably be dismissed.

The Raiders may not be able to select a top rookie because they will not have a pick until No. 13 in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Thankfully, there are a few seasoned professionals on hand. When asked which NFL quarterback he would prefer to play with, star wide receiver Davante Adams responded in an intriguing way.

Adams declared, “I like a Kirk Cousins,” during the January 18 episode of “Two G’s in a Pod.”Kirk Cousins is an excellent quarterback in my opinion. In terms of availability, Kirk seems like a capable player.

This offseason, Cousins’ deal with the Minnesota Vikings expires, making him a free agent. The Vikings might try to re-sign him, but other clubs should be interested as well. Cousins might be a great stopgap if the Raiders are not optimistic about their chances of selecting a quarterback in the draft. Even so, the organisation may choose to select a rookie in the draft and have them grow behind the four-time Pro Bowler.
