Mark Richt is a decent person. He is a skilled football coach as well. However, he is only good. Greatness was never going to be his at Georgia, and it’s unlikely that he will be at Miami or any other place he ends up in five or six years after being fired in south Florida. It was time to turn things around at UGA. That shift was Kirby Smart. He has revitalised the programme just when it was most in need of it. How dangerous is Kirby Smart as the next Georgia Bulldogs head coach? He should win a lot of games in Athens.
