Here’s the newest information
Jonathan Owens Moves On.
Jonathan Owens is departing Green Bay after only one season, during which he was in and out of the starting lineup
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, who confirmed with Owens’ agent Sunny Shah, Owens has agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Chicago Bears
According to Nick Korte of Over the Cap, this should not count as a compensatory pick in 2025.
Tyler Davis and Corey Ballentine. Accept the terms
The Green Bay Packers announced that they have struck to deals with two of their key special teams players.
Tyler Davis allegedly agreed to terms with the team yesterday, which they made official today.
Corey Ballentine, who started for the team at cornerback when Jaire Alexander was down with an injury, also is back in Green Bay.
Both players give depth at cornerback and tight end, but their primary contributions will be to Rich Bisaccia’s special teams squad.
Keisean Nixon is back.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Keisean Nixon has agreed to terms with Green Bay on a three-year deal worth up to $19.2 million.
Last season, Nixon was the team’s primary kickoff returner and slot cornerback. He was one of their top free agents to bring back because of his effectiveness on special teams, and they appreciated what he did in the slot position.
With that contract, it appears that the Packers want Nixon to be a starter in the secondary again.
To the Vikings: Aaron Jones.
Aaron Jones signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday morning, joining a lengthy list of former Packers standouts that includes Hall of Famer Brett Favre, stars like Greg Jennings, and role players like Dean Lowry
