Special Announcement made earlier today that the Detroit Tigers Vs Pirates Game Is Postponed Due To The Detroit Tigers defeated the visiting Toronto Blue Jays 14–11 on Sunday thanks to a game-winning three-run home run by Matt Vierling with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

With his game-winning strike against Jordan Romano (2-1), Vierling gave Detroit a three-game winning run. Kerry Carpenter purposely walked to Vierling after Spencer Torkelson singled.

For the Tigers, Carson Kelly and Torkelson each had three-run home runs. Among his three hits was a two-run single by Mark Canha. Javier Baez and Andy Ibanez both scored two runs.

Eighth inning scoring was capped by a three-run home drive by Daulton Varsho of Toronto. For the Blue Jays, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had four hits and one run scored. Isiah Kiner-Falefa added a solo drive, and Cavan Biggio hit a two-run home run.

In the second, the Blue Jays left the bases loaded. After that, Detroit led 4-0 in the bottom of the inning.

After a double to start the inning, Torkelson moved to third on a single by Wenceel Perez.

Subsequently, Baez hit a spectacular double to left center, scoring both runs. Jake Rogers slapped a double off center fielder Varsho’s glove to right center. Baez was held at third after tagging up.

Guerrero’s RBI single and Davis Schneider’s sacrifice fly gave Toronto two runs in the sixth inning. Later in the inning, Vierling responded with his fourth home run.

Varsho’s tenth home run gave the Blue Jays the lead, but Bo Bichette’s two-run single off Jason Foley in the eighth trimmed the Tigers’ lead to one. In the bottom of the eighth, Canha’s two-run single leveled the score at eleven runs apiece.
