One player who was injured early in the season but received less attention is Solomon Thomas, a defensive lineman. In Week 2 versus the New York Jets, the third overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft suffered an ACL tear. After the team rejected his fifth-year option before the 2020 campaign, the 25-year-old is now free to sign with any team. It’s difficult to understand how Solly fits in with the league’s cap crunch caused by the economic consequences of the pandemic.
