Put up the effort and see it through. The Brooklyn Nets will travel to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday afternoon. Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris were two of the big guns that Philly was missing. While it would be simple to overlook a side that is injured, the Nets are in a frantic attempt to save their season. They strolled to a much-needed victory, using their desperation to ring the Sixers’ bell.
Tonight’s opponent is also attempting to save their season. Though it won’t be simple, the Golden State Warriors are still in contention for the postseason. After they lost to the Atlanta Hawks in overtime on the road on Saturday night, things became more difficult.
Not Dorian Finney-Smith, Dariq Whitehead, or Day’Ron Sharpe. Ben Simmons will not be available tonight due to the Nets’ back-to-back. Dennis Smith Jr. most likely has pain in his right foot.
Dario Saric most likely has a medical condition. Due to a fractured left hand, Chris Paul is not available. Moses Moody is sidelined due to a strained left calf. A left hamstring issue has forced Gary Payton II to miss time. Due to discomfort in his left ankle, Andrew Wiggins is uncertain.
Bereavement of a close one is never easy. You become close to them, collaborate with them, and in many respects they become family. You try your hardest to remember them when they die away and carry on with your life. Dejan Milojevic, the assistant coach for the Warriors, died in January at the age of 46 from a heart attack. The world of basketball will mourn Dejan, who was adored by everyone he came into contact with.
It’s necessary to scream at your employer occasionally. You have to tell someone that you deserve better when you’re working so hard and the boss continues keeping you from moving on to the next phase. Jonathan Kuminga did just that when he declared at the start of January that he “lost faith in Steve Kerr.” Kuminga has played an average of 32 minutes per game and scored about 21/5/2/2/1 per night since January 5. He has gained support from both Kerr and the Warriors fan base.
JK seems to have it all figured out. For him, the game has slowed down. He is starting to grasp when and how to attack. Kerr stated, “I felt he made some good passes tonight.”
