Tennessee has been enticing numerous candidates from within the region. The Volunteers have targeted Tennessee in-state talent Jaylen Mosley. Mosley, a 6’1″ and 190-pound 2025 defensive back prospect, attends Jackson, Tennessee’s Jackson Christian High School. He received an offer from Tennessee on March 9th, 2023, and has since made two trips to the Volunteer state. He took the time to update everyone on his recruitment process and any future developments.
Mosley remarks, “My overall recruitment has been pretty good,” in reference to his hiring process. I’ve been reaching out to new coaches and maintaining contact with old ones. It is consistently fortunate. He continues by discussing the universities that have recently been actively courting him. “I would say Alabama, Washington, and Michigan because they were in the playoffs, and of course, Tennessee and I might throw Texas A&M in there,” the 2025 defensive back says. I must include Kentucky as well. There are others, but those are just the ones I’ve been keeping an eye on.
Which schools have made him feel important? was another question posed to him. Mosley responds, “Tennessee follows up with me often, even when I’m not playing football. And so has Washington. The coach and I have been conversing for a long, and he always gives me and my mother his best wishes. Mizzou as well, as I frequently receive check-ins from various coaches with whom I communicate.”
“Man, Coach [Danny] O’Rourke is my guy,” says Mosley of his relationship with the Tennessee staff. He actually spends time checking in with me and my mum via text or phone call. Having a relationship with coaches where they check in with my people and not just me feels fantastic. Next, he discusses skipping school. “I’m planning on doing a top five or six later on down the line,” he replied. Regarding visits, he adds, “I have to get them planned, so I don’t know right now.”
Wesley Walker, a starting safety for the Tennessee Volunteers who was fourth on the team in tackles this season and has been in over 40 games overall, has committed to the University of Louisville.
Walker, who used the link to access information last month and skipped last week’s Citrous Bowl, paid a formal visit to Louisville this past week. On Monday, he made his commitment public on social media.
