Steelers nations mega star got poison in the locker room as reported by the coach to news men today and the club is currently on break.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have just finished a terrible two-game run in which they were defeated by the New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to their matches with Pittsburgh, both teams had two wins under their belts. The numerous injuries sustained by the Steelers were the most painful aspects of these defeats. TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith are both enrolled in the league’s concussion protocol, and Kenny Pickett left the game due to an ankle injury sustained against Arizona. Watt, who is currently under fire from the Steelers, participated in the entire game against New England.
Watt was attempting a standard play to tackle running back Ezekiel Elliot on the Patriots’ opening play from scrimmage in Week 14 when he took a knee to the chin. Not only was he visibly bleeding after the play, but it appeared he had a mouth injury that kept him out of the game for a few plays.
Watt was placed into the league’s concussion protocol on Friday; whether or not this play was the reason, it is unfortunate for Pittsburgh that Watt played the majority of the snaps and stayed in the game. On X, Warren Sharpe, an NFL analyst, criticized the Steelers for their inadequate handling of the injury.
Once more, it’s unclear if Watt’s hit on the game’s opening play was the reason he was placed in concussion protocol or not. Perhaps he was hit during his final defensive play of the game. In the second quarter, Watt did install a tinted visor on his helmet, and he used it for the rest of the contest.
