Jon Moxley On 3 Years Suspension For Allegedly Involving In Even though AEW won the most of the nights in terms of overall viewers, former WCW star Konnan recently discussed why he thinks it would be a mistake to refight the match in a recent episode of “Keepin’ It 100.” Without holding back in his evaluation, Konnan told AEW that WWE had a superior product and that they shouldn’t try it.
“In my opinion, they shouldn’t compete against WWE head-to-head because, even if they’re on Netflix, they will still lose badly. Konnan remarked, “They [WWE] got a better product.”
Because of the significant transformation in WWE’s image that has occurred since Triple H took over in 2021, Konnan probably feels that AEW would be destroyed in a head-to-head match today.
AEW and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry had an intriguing perspective on the alleged “war” between the two companies during an appearance on Booker T’s “Hall of Fame” podcast. Many fans of both products want to see the shows compete against one another. The veteran claimed that neither promotion genuinely wants to share a timeslot with another promotion and that the only real “war” is to maintain viewership from match to match between the segments on individual shows.
Whatever one’s opinion of the product, All Elite Wrestling’s ascent has been essential to the pro wrestling business. All industries suffer from monopolies, and choice is essential to expansion. More significantly, competition is healthy because AEW keeps the WWE on its toes and gives talent other options if they’re not pleased with their current situation. The fans stand to gain as well, since who wouldn’t want to see more wrestling on TV and in their daily lives?
