Sherrone Moore, who was recently selected the program’s new head coach, has ushered in a new era for Michigan football.
Along with his team, he has been recruiting, and on Tuesday, two coaches paid a visit to the school of one of their main targets for this cycle.
Sherrone Moore, the head coach, stopped by Washington, Oklahoma, to see how 2025 four-star tight end Nate Roberts was doing.
The 235-pound, 6-foot-4 player has had over 30 scholarship offers and is regarded as one of the best in his position.
The gifted pass-catcher was extended an offer by the Maize and Blue in April, and they welcomed him to campus for the summer. A few months after his first June commitment to Note Dame, he reopened his recruiting.
Ohio State is ahead in both of Nate Roberts’ predictions for the 247Sports Crystal Ball, with the Buckeyes.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Roberts is ranked as the No. 107 overall prospect in the 2025 class, the No. 4 tight end in the country, and the No. 2 player in Kansas for his class.

International basketball prospect Lee Aaliya, who committed to Michigan in August 2023, will now pursue his career in a different direction.
After announcing his intention to join the Wolverines for the 2023–24 season, the Argentine big man ended a six-month period of uncertainty by sharing the news on Instagram on Wednesday. This is his message confirming the revised schedule:
Aaliya committed to U-M in August of last year, but by the time the autumn semester rolled around, he had not enrolled. Coaches in the programme started to express doubt about whether Aaliya would ultimately attend Michigan. Among the obstacles the South American had in getting to Ann Arbour was “visas and government officials and admissions here,” according to associate coach Phil Martelli.
“I have little knowledge of it. It must be allowed to run its course, Martelli stated in October. “Because it’s actually not under our control. We really want him here on Thursday, but I can’t say that. because you are admitted here, have government officials, and have visas. That is not the world I stray into.
After the NCAA verified Aaliya’s eligibility, the 6-foot-9 forward attracted interest from other collegiate programmes, his NIL agent, Alex Saratsis, told ESPN in August.
At the FIBA U18 South American Championship in 2018, Aaliya averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. During the FIBA U19 World Cup last summer, he made his international debut, leading Argentina to fifth place with 17.1 points and nine rebounds per game. One of his best performances of the tournament was a 31-point, 20-rebound, three-block performance against Canada.
The Wolverines are now in last place in the Big Ten after losing nine of their last ten games.
The majority of Michigan supporters responded favourably to Moore’s quick (less than 48 hours) promotion, according to Zach Shaw of The Michigan Insider. “He is the only candidate the Wolverines interviewed, thus it showed unity that both Jim Harbaugh and the players at Michigan support him as the next head coach. The other outside candidates whose names were connected to the position did not please Michigan supporters either, and Moore fits the university’s culture perfectly and can provide continuity in a time when it is more important than ever in college football.”
