Christian Watson, a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, has struggled with a hamstring injury all season. It looks like he may miss another game in Week 14 against the Giants while he allows the injury to heal once more. Rob Demovsky reports that Watson is unsure if he will be able to play on Monday night.
Given the potential for soft tissue problems like a hamstring strain to persist, it appears likely that the Packers will err on the side of caution with Watson. It is imperative that Watson stays healthy for the last stretch of the season since the Packers are suddenly back in the thick of things in the playoff race.
Christian Watson, a wide receiver with the Packers, has another hamstring problem.
Given how long it took Watson to get to full fitness, it seems likely that he won’t be playing on Monday, especially in a game that the team can still win without him. The Packers defense offers a very challenging challenge in primetime, and the Giants, who have struggled offensively and dealt with several injuries themselves this season, are a formidable opponent.
Fortunately for the Packers, Watson’s hamstring injury doesn’t seem to be as bad as the one that sidelined him earlier in the season. According to Ryan Wood, Watson also claims to have consulted medical professionals on injury prevention for “tens of thousands of dollars.”
