The 49ers didn’t get much better from their Week 14 matchup against the Seahawks after entering it battered. They had numerous injuries during the game, and head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an update following the contest.
Burks’s injury remained a secret. It’s unclear when he was hurt, but Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles took his place.
Both Burford and Mitchell were viewed as questionable heading into Sunday, but as of right now, they have been officially ruled out.
Although Mitchell’s absence from practice all week and during Sunday’s game suggests there may be more than just mild soreness, head coach Kyle Shanahan initially stated Mitchell was experiencing some knee soreness. For the RB, no formal diagnosis has been made.
Burford played through a slight injury that he had at the beginning of Week 13. He’s now got another knee injury that will prevent him from playing this week.
