Early signing day for the 2024 recruiting cycle is soon approaching. Michigan is still interested in a few targets for the ’24 cycle, but focus appears to be shifting towards the transfer portal and the 2025 recruiting season.
Will Black, an offensive lineman, is one of Michigan’s top targets in ’25. This season, he came to Ann Arbour for The Game against Ohio State. In the next days, the Wolverines could receive a new verbal pledge.
The 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle attended Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. He is a four-star recruit, the 316th-ranked recruit, and the 29th-ranked offensive tackle in the ’25 class, according to the Composite rankings.
Other schools vying for Black’s services include Alabama, Penn State, and Notre Dame. He recently returned from a visit to Notre Dame, and the Wolverines are hopeful they did enough to secure the huge tackle over the Fighting Irish.
According to On3, the Wolverines have an 89.3% chance of landing Black. Notre Dame is in second place, with a 3.9% probability of winning.
Michigan currently has three 2025 commitments and no offensive linemen.
