Leeds United pays some of the highest salaries in the Championship, which is not surprising considering that they were just demoted from the Premier League.
Through sales and loans, the Whites have been able to drastically lower their salary cost from the previous season, but it is still high for the second division.
The price for this is that Leeds, who are presently in third position and looking to stay in the running for automatic promotion, have one of the greatest second-tier squads under Daniel Farke’s command. Regarding pay, we’ve looked at information from FM24 to find out how much they think each Leeds player makes.
“It’s been reported that Leeds United manager Daniel Farke will not entertain any loan offers for Charlie Cresswell and Joe Gelhardt,” he remarked in an interview with Football League World on December 22.
“I don’t find Daniel’s choice shocking. Naturally, he wants both players to play and continue developing, but getting Leeds United back into the Premier League is his first goal.
As the second half of the season approaches, they are presently 10 points out of an automatic spot in the Championship, sitting in third place.
“They’ll want to see if they can beat Ipswich or Leicester, and he is aware that these two players are capable of playing at the Championship level. As a manager, you can’t control for potential injuries.”
It is regrettable for both players at this point that he must prioritize the needs of the club over those of the players.
