Red Sox and Diamondbacks interest in Jorge Soler has the Blue Jays emerging as the front-runner in MLB rumours…….

The MLB free agency cycle has been dragging, particularly after Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani were signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The closer we get to Spring Training, the more serious business should start. Jorge Soler, who played for the Miami Marlins in 2023, is one name that is starting to gather traction. The Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, and Arizona Diamondbacks are all reportedly interested in Soler; but, the Blue Jays have recently taken the lead, according to Jon Heyman of The New York Post.

The hitting market, which includes Rhys Hoskins, Justin Turner, J.D. Martinez, and Jorge Soler, is getting hotter. The Diamondbacks and Red Sox are also interested in Soler, but the Jays are the front-runners.

Soler had a successful season with the Marlins just ended. With 36 home runs, 75 RBI, and a.250 batting average, he has emerged as a market favourite. Although the Red Sox were once thought to be the front-runners to sign him, it appears that the Blue Jays, an AL East team, are now in a stronger position.

Justin Turner, J.D. Martinez, and Rhys Hoskins are among sluggers that have gained some traction in the market. Even while the free agency process has often been quiet, as February approaches, more and more changes may be made.

The Blue Jays would add Soler to an already strong roster as they attempt to maintain their position atop the AL East and qualify for the playoffs once more in 2024 and beyond.
