Although Kelce hasn’t made an official statement, he did let his teammates know he planned to retire.
Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, has reportedly spoken with media outlets, leading some fans to believe that he may be considering a career as an NFL commentator once he retires from the game.
Jason is in Las Vegas right now to watch his brother, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, play in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers. The Bleacher Report claims that Jason has talked with representatives from both ESPN and Fox about perhaps breaking into the broadcast industry.
If he chooses to retire, he might also meet with Amazon, NBC, and CBS, according to reports.
ESPN said last month that Eagles player Kelce told his teammates he planned to retire following the team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs in the National Football Conference (NFC) Wild Card Round of the playoffs. However, he hasn’t made an official declaration and is still considering his options.
The 36-year-old player has won a Super Bowl, been selected to six first teams All-Pro, and had seven Pro Bowl nominations.
One of the best centers in NFL history, he hasn’t missed a game since the 2014 campaign.
Because of his charisma, Jason has become well-known both on and off the field.
Following the Eagles’ historic first-ever Super Bowl victory, he donned a ridiculous outfit and delivered an inspiring statement during the title parade.
Along with Travis, he launched the New Heights podcast, which expanded his fan base and revealed his personality to the public.
Jason has a lot of choices in the broadcasting industry if he choose to follow this career route because of his charisma and football knowledge, which make him a perfect fit.
