Ozzie Albies is getting ready for another season with the Atlanta Braves as spring training gets begun. Albies, a three-time All-Star, will be vital to the Braves this season as they attempt to return to the World Series following two straight Divisional Series defeats the previous two years.

Of course, for his effect on the field to happen, Albies knows he has to stay fit. The second baseman discussed his preparations for the 162-game season during an appearance on the Foul Territory podcast.

According to Foul Territory’s official X (Twitter) account, Albies stated, “You work hard for 162 plus (games) because of the postseason and spring training games you’ve got to play.” Keeping myself healthy is the most important thing. Exercise at the gym, performing all the necessary movements to maintain my competitiveness. After that, simply keep working.

In addition, the 27-year-old stressed the importance of quality over quantity in his work.

“Quality work rather than quantity is what will keep me on the right path to play the entire season,” Albies continued.

Albies has performed successfully with this routine, according to his 2023 performance. The two-time Silver Slugger finished with 4.7 WAR, 33 home runs, 109 runs batted in, and a slash line of.280/.336/.513 in addition to his.849 OPS. Albies also placed sixteenth in the race for NL MVP.

For the Braves, securing their prized stars for the upcoming season is expected to lead to a dominant 2024 campaign; expectations are high, especially with Ronald Acuña Jr. leading the way once again. For Ozzie Albies, an intact roster means another opportunity to win that second World Series.
