Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus attempted to select them for the Lions and selected Aidan Hutchinson, an edge rusher, right tackle Penei Sewell, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
It’s difficult to dispute any of those choices. It’s true that Sewell is the best, but St. Brown and Sewell have developed into two of the NFL’s top players at their positions (and are now getting paid as such).
During his first two seasons in the NFL, Hutchinson has had a significant impact. The Michigan graduate has amassed an incredible 21 sacks, including a career-best 11.5 in 2023 that earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl for the first time. Before long, we’ll be discussing Hutchinson as one of the league’s top pass-rushers.
Personally, I would choose those three players for the Lions. Other participants in the conversation include offensive lineman Frank Ragnow, a proven center for years, and tight end Sam LaPorta, who became a standout in his debut season.
