Steven Alzate, a midfielder, will depart Albion at the end of June when his contract expires.
The 25-year-old midfielder made 72 appearances—52 starts—for Albion across all competitions after joining the team in 2017 from Leyton Orient.
He has played 47 games in all competitions while on loan at Standard Liege in Belgium over the past two seasons.
“We would like to thank Steven for his efforts during his time with the club and wish him all the very best for the future,” said David Weir, technical director of Albion.
Prior to the end of the season, Adam Lallana had already declared his intention to leave the team; earlier this month, James Milner and Danny Welbeck signed new contracts.
Following their split from former manager Roberto De Zerbi, Brighton is still looking for a new manager. The bookies continue to favor former head coach Graham Potter, former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper, and Henrik Rydstrom of Malmo for the position.
