Although Jason Kelce has spent his whole NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles, his wife might be an even bigger fan than he is.
Last Sunday, Kelce and his spouse Kylie went to Super Bowl LVIII in support of Jason’s brother Travis, who plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to start, Jason and Kylie appeared on the CBS broadcast, both donning Chiefs apparel. On closer inspection, though, fans could see that Kylie was sporting a University of Cincinnati shirt while Jason was sporting genuine Chiefs clothing.
That was no accident. In the most recent installment of their podcast, “New Heights,” Jason and Travis talked about Kylie’s choice of clothes. Jason clarified that his wife only wears Eagles clothing and won’t wear anything from any other NFL team.
“She’s not going to do it. I make an effort to explain to her that we have family in the game, Kylie. It’s acceptable to support that team. The Eagles are not their opponent. Simply put, she won’t do it,” Jason remarked.
Travis and Jason were both Cincinnati University players in college, so Kylie’s shirt was a perfect fit. Travis expressed his admiration for Kylie’s devotion to the Eagles and her willingness to wear red.
Before getting married, Jason and Kylie dated for two years after meeting on Tinder. Together, they are parents to three kids. Being a native of the Philadelphia region, Kylie had already developed a strong loyalty to the Eagles before even meeting Jason. The couple even got married in Philadelphia.
Although it has been suggested that Jason will retire and pursue a new career, the All-Pro center has not yet made that announcement. If he plays at all, it will most likely only be for the Eagles, as far as we can tell. If he signs with another team, his own wife might not even support him.
