Man Utd already looking towards Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna's Old Trafford return - Daily Star

Kieran Mckenna Files Divorce Against Wife To Dissolve 10 Years Marriage For Allegedly Involving In Having been a Carrington assistant in the past, McKenna is well-liked by many of the players and would undoubtedly help accomplish both of these goals.

In 2014, Liverpool approached Kieran McKenna, the current manager of Ipswich Town, about a coaching position; nevertheless, he ultimately joined the Manchester United backroom staff. If Erik ten Hag leaves this summer, United is rumored to be eyeing the 38-year-old as a possible management option.

After leaving Tottenham to become the Reds’ academy director, Alex Inglethorpe had hoped McKenna, the former Spurs coach, would follow him to Anfield.

There have even been rumors that he had a meeting to discuss the possible transfer with manager Brendan Rodgers. McKenna, though, turned that offer down and joined United two years later.

It has been said that McKenna grew up loving United. “There is no bigger move you can make than to go to Manchester United,” he said after being appointed to the M16. Really, it’s a dream come true.”

This opinion would probably not change if a spot in the Old Trafford first team opened up in the upcoming days or weeks, given that Ten Hag’s future is still in doubt even if the Red Devils win their 13th FA Cup this month.

Considering McKenna’s success with the Tractor Boys, it’s not unexpected that INEOS is interested in him despite his lack of experience. The Guardian claims that United is apparently seeking a long-term project manager rather than someone who can bring the team to instant success in the upcoming season.
