The SEC announced on Thursday that it will make public its 2024 football schedule on December 13. The entire schedule for the redesigned SEC, which will welcome Texas and Oklahoma to the league next year, will be unveiled in a two-hour special. Divisions will no longer exist within the conference, so their scheduling structure will change.
The SEC decided to stick with an eight-game schedule for 2024 as a temporary fix, and they picked everyone’s opponents back in June. We will now have dates to set with those opponents in a few weeks.
A few details regarding Tennessee’s 2024 schedule have already been revealed by ESPN earlier this week. While Oklahoma will take Florida’s customary date, Florida will move to October. The usual “Third Saturday in October” date for the Alabama game will remain unchanged.
There are still games to be scheduled against Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Kentucky. We will ascertain that on December 13th.
