The Tennessee Volunteers have not fared well in the early returns via the transfer portal. Although they haven’t added any players to their roster through the transfer portal and have lost nine players to it, their fortunes are probably about to change. The transfer portal is constantly changing as these prospects evaluate their top universities.
Among the prospects looking for new residences are two former Vols. On3 reports that defensive back Tamarion McDonald and defensive end Tyler Baron will be visiting the Ole Miss Rebels today. It will be interesting to watch if that tandem stays in the SEC because they produced a lot of plays for the Vols this season.
Football in Tennessee is almost done with the offseason. After finishing the regular season, the Vols are concentrating on building their roster for the 2023 campaign. Players will have to wait until May after spring practice to access the transfer portal if they do not transfer during that window.
