Nikhai Hill-Green has had a long trip.
Many people were astonished when the former three-star linebacker earned the starting job in his second year at Ann Arbour. However, in the 2022 offseason, he suffered a persistent injury that caused him to miss the entire season.
Hill-Green, who attended Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy, ended up following his former high school head coach, Biff Poggi, to Charlotte after entering the transfer portal. Hill-Green has decided to return to the Power Five level after one year with the 49ers.
Hill-Green revealed on Thursday that he has committed to UCF and will join the new-look Big 12.
Hill-Green finished second on the team in tackles in 2023, with 73, 9 tackles for loss, and two sacks, surpassing his 50 tackles in 2021.
Hill-Green will have two years of eligibility left with the Knights, with 2020 being the COVID (free) year and redshirting in 2022.
