December 13, 2023, Birmingham, Alabama The football schedules for all 16 SEC schools for the 2024 season were released by the conference today. This is the first schedule to feature University of Texas and University of Oklahoma, two recent additions to the conference.
Every SEC team will play eight conference football games in addition to two open dates and at least one necessary matchup with a team from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12, or a significant independent.
The SEC will play a schedule devoid of divisional competition for the first time since 1991 in 2024. On Saturday, December 7, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the 33rd SEC Football Championship Game will take place between the top two teams in the league standings according to winning percentage.
