In the latter stages of the fourth quarter, Metcalf attempted a lateral play and grabbed hold of Warner after Warner intercepted a pass intended for Metcalf from Drew Lock. After Warner lost possession of the ball, he continued to hold onto Warner and slammed him flat. Following Warner’s push from behind, Metcalf seized hold of Warner’s facemask during the altercation.
Warner told reporters, via NBC Sports, “Yeah, I don’t know what happened, man.” “I told him he tackles really well, but he didn’t seem to like that for some reason. And I suppose what transpired actually did occur, which is regrettable, dude. He needs to practice maintaining his composure. However, we’re glad we released the dub.
The incident happened a week after Dre Greenlaw, a linebacker for the 49ers, was sent off for a sideline altercation during the team’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Along with the pick, Warner recorded eight tackles in the team’s victory over the Seahawks. He has accumulated 107 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and nine passes defensed so far this season. It appears that he will make it to the Pro Bowl a third time.

Warner made an immediate impression on the field, recording 124 tackles in his rookie year. But last year, he had the best season of his career with 130 tackles, two sacks, a pick, a forced fumble, and ten passes defensed.
