Jordan Seaton rejected a “huge” offer from Tennessee before pledging to Colorado.

Jordan Seaton stunned the football world when he committed to Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes. Especially because Colorado was first removed off his final list. The generational talent and highly sought-after five-star is towards the top of the 2024 recruiting class and has already received many offers.

According to BuffsBeat, Seaton reportedly turned down a “multi-million” dollar offer from Tennessee before moving to Colorado. WBIR TV also reported last week that IMG Academy’s offensive lineman rejected down a lucrative “seven-figure” contract.

Tennessee and its NIL collective were optimistic about landing the final uncommitted five-star recruit in the 2024 class in the days leading up to his decision, and Seaton’s eventual choice of Colorado surprised them.”

Seaton had offers from over 30 institutions, including Tennessee, Ohio State, Oregon, and Georgia. Sanders was instrumental in keeping Seaton as a priority throughout the process. It demonstrates how solid the Florida pipeline is for Coach Prime, who has brought waves of Sunshine State recruits to Boulder.

Seaton, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 300 pounds, is eager to begin to work with Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes offence. He’s already talked about assisting in the development of CU’s “Grown” QB into a Heisman contender next year. The nation’s 15th-best prospect is Colorado’s third five-star recruit since Sanders arrived in Boulder last year. Travis Hunter was a five-star recruit in the 2022 class who transferred from Jackson State. Cormani McClain, who left Miami on early Signing Day last year to pledge to Coach Prime, joins him.

Sanders is taking a “quality over quantity” approach with the 2024 class, which presently has eleven players. Seaton will become a Buff eight days from now when early Signing Day begins on December 20.
