This is the first of nine installments that will look at the advantages, disadvantages, and off-season strategy of the Green Bay Packers at each position. We start by examining the quarterbacks for Green Bay.

The quarterback for Green Bay is acting calmly and quietly for the first time in years. The Jordan Love era’s first year could not have started any better. He was excellent both on and off the field, but the New York Jets are currently dealing with the ongoing chaos that surrounded Aaron Rodgers.

Love started all 19 games, completed 37 touchdown passes, and only had 13 interceptions. Between Week 11 and Green Bay’s NFC divisional playoff game against San Francisco, there was a two-month period in which Love threw an incredible 23 touchdowns and just one interception.

Love had a tremendous year, according to Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur. “Just to observe the progress… Though the outcomes clearly speak for themselves, I felt that his development into more than just the commander in the field—rather, an extension of us—and his leadership and sense of responsibility were encouraging signs for us.

It makes natural to believe that in Year 2, Love will be even more amazing.

With LaFleur’s offensive scheme, he will feel even more at ease. His rapport with his youthful, developing wideouts ought to continue to grow.

It is not surprising if Love attempts to win MVP in 2024.

In the offseason, Love said, “I’m going to look at the tape and my process is go back and watch the games and find areas I need to improve.” However, I believe that when we return to OTAs, it will be clear that some of these late-game, two-minute exercises are opportunities that we missed all season. Thus, that will be something to consider.

“However, I believe there are a lot of areas I’ll need to examine and analyze the movie, but I firmly believe that those pivotal moments when you have to go win it, figuring out solutions and better ways to go take advantage of and find a way to win,”

LaFleur is eager to see what his quickly developing quarterback will do next.

According to LaFleur, “He is a cool customer and you can have really good conversations with him.” Regardless of how things are going, I never see him get too high or too low. He’s just a guy who, in these past four years, has grown up a lot, and it’s difficult not to support him, you know?

Getting Love to sign a long-term contract will be Green Bay’s main objective this offseason.

Love’s deal is only set to expire in a year, but general manager of the Packers Brian Gutekunst wants to tie him down for many more. Joe Burrow of Cincinnati leads the group of eleven quarterbacks who earn at least $40 million year with $55 million.

Since Jordan and his representative are excellent people, we will begin working toward that within the next few months.

Despite having 11 draft picks, Clifford may have demonstrated enough in his rookie season for Green Bay to consider options besides quarterback.
