Jamal Adams, a free agency safety, is still a target for the Seattle Seahawks, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. He puts the San Francisco 49ers’ name—another team that is evaluating Adams for the next campaign—on the list of teams.

“Sources said the San Francisco 49ers are among other teams who have kept in touch with Adams, so the Seahawks could have some competition for the former All-Pro safety, who is still just 28 years old,” stated Condotta.

Adams (6-1, 213) was selected by the New York Jets with the sixth overall selection in 2017 out of LSU. In nine starts with the Seahawks last season, he played 84 percent of the defensive snaps and recorded 48 tackles, including two quarterback hits, two passes defensed, and seven for a loss, according to Pro Football Reference.

Once drafted, Mustapha told reporters, “I’m a downhill, speed, tenacity, ballplayer that plays with a lot of fire.” I am able to align myself nearly anywhere. I can influence every aspect of the football game by simply watching the movie. The 49ers must have some sort of strategy for me. Being able to demonstrate my adaptability while attending Wake Forest makes me feel truly at ease in many situations.”
