Is LeSean McCoy, the trash-talk critic, offering Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott an apology………..
LeSean McCoy, a former running back with the Philadelphia Eagles, acknowledges that he went too far in disparaging Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
The media’s hot take artists are always drawn to the Dallas Cowboys, and when that hot take artist used to play for the bitter rival Philadelphia Eagles, things are likely to get ugly.
Former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has attacked the Cowboys, and quarterback Dak Prescott in particular, at almost every chance since he entered the sports media after retiring. Most famously, during the 2022 season, McCoy referred to Prescott as “a**” and implied that his teammates “don’t respect him” when CB Trevon Diggs made fun of Prescott following a reception during training camp.
It appears that the Speak analyst for Fox Sports 1 may have had a change of heart. During an interview for his Games With Names podcast with former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, McCoy acknowledged that he could have gone too far with his past disparaging remarks about Prescott.
Because I’m so inexperienced and raw with TV, I’ve had some difficulties with it, McCoy admitted. In actuality, though, I ought to have stated something like, ‘He’s playing like an asshole.’ Since there are so many a** quarterbacks… He’s an above-average quarterback, in my opinion.
McCoy proceeded to offer Prescott a “compliment” by stating that he is superior to two other quarterbacks: Daniel Jones of the New York Giants and Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears.
Prescott had probably his finest regular season ever after McCoy’s remarks, finishing with 4,516 throwing yards and a league-high 36 touchdowns to nine interceptions. At Thursday’s NFL Honours, he is also a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year and League MVP.
However, it doesn’t appear that Prescott’s criticism will abate anytime soon following another underwhelming playoff performance.
