It will be run by a committed group of educators that includes staff members from AIU, past Olympians, and seasoned experts in sports integrity.

AIU educators with training will conduct one-on-one, 20-minute education sessions with athletes. Amharic, Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Kalenjin, Mandarin, Oromo, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, and Swedish are among the fourteen languages in which these sessions can be held.

AIU Head Brett Clothier stated, “Given the approaching Paris Olympics, this is a critical initiative for athletes as it allows them to access the information they need in the language they need and at the time they need in a unique one-on-one environment.”

One of the main focuses of the AIU’s mandate is education. We created the AIU Call Room in response to the demands of the athletes after listening to their requests. The World Athletics Athletes’ Commission Chair, Dame Valerie Adams, has commended the AIU Call Room’s establishment as a critical improvement to the resources offered to athletes traveling to Paris.

“The AIU Call Room’s launch is revolutionary and really athlete-centered since it gives athletes access to customized one-on-one learning experiences whenever it’s convenient for them. Our athletes will be significantly impacted by this AIU program for Paris 2024, she stated.

Additionally, at certain Diamond League tournaments, AIU staff will speak with athletes and provide information on the Call Room. Athlete input obtained through focus groups, online sessions, and outreach initiatives run by the AIU served as the impetus for its founding. The Diamond League’s first match took place in Oslo on Wednesday.

AIU is an independent body that World Athletics created to manage all integrity-related issues in athletics, including doping and non-doping issues. Its duties include combating fraudulent activity relating to transfers of allegiance, looking into cases of doping, identifying other types of misbehavior like bribery and breaking betting laws, and investigating those who manipulate age or competition outcomes.

The organization’s mission is to rid our sport of dishonest activities and offer unwavering support to moral athletes everywhere who work hard and persistently to fulfill their dreams of becoming professional sportsmen.
