Walters wed Kim Alison Facer in January 1991, and the two went on to have three kids: Jett, Jack, and Billy (who is a licensed carpenter). In collaboration with Dr. Cherrell Hirst, the Wesley Breast Clinic’s director at the time, Walters established The Wesley Hospital Kim Walters Choices Program in Brisbane, a free community initiative that provides assistance to those with cancer diagnoses. The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre was the new name for the program in 2017, and Walters remained its patron.
